Video Tutorial for the First Time Using the Parent Portal

Important Genesis Information:

When logging into the Genesis Parent Portal, your username is always your email address.  If you change your email, please contact hart@upperschools.org.  Also, we only need one email address that connects to the Genesis Parent Portal and our Blackboard calling system. Also, if you have a change of address, we need proof of residency prior to changing any information in our student system. Thank you.

SCHOOL HOURS~

Student Arrival: 9:15 am-9:25 am

School Day: 9:25 am-3:35 pm

Student Dismissal: 3:35 pm-4:00 pm

Please note that students who come to school late must arrive before 11 am for the day to count as a full day.  If students are being picked up early, then they must stay in school until 2 pm for the day to count as a full day.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL~

The first day of school for all students will be on Thursday, September 5^th which is a full school day with dismissal beginning at 3:35 pm.

DROP-OFF~

Children may be dropped off no earlier than 9:15 am as there are no staff members on duty prior to 9:15 am. Students can not be left outside unattended until the front doors open for arrival.  You may utilize the KEYS Program for childcare between the hours of 7:00-9:15 am and 3:35-5:30 pm. Please contact the KEYS office at 628-3500 ext. 2159 for more information. In the event that you arrive at school after 9:25 am, your child will be marked tardy.

DISMISSAL AND PARENT PICK UP~

School dismissal begins at 3:35 pm.  In an effort to provide for the safety of our students and families, we will be using the KidAccount system for parent pick-up again this school year. Details related to parent pick-up will be shared in a separate communication as the district will be transitioning to the KidAccount App. Please note that parents with students in both the Primary and Elementary School will now need to go to both schools to pick up students.  

SCHEDULE~

The Special Areas program at the Elementary School will operate on a six day rotating schedule with three days of Physical Education, two days of Art or Music (Art for the first half of the year and Music for the second half of the year), and one day of STEAM.  Please keep track of the number day in order to help your child prepare for school.  Be sure to dress your child appropriately for Physical Education, particularly in sneakers (sandals, crocs, and uggs are not permitted for gym class).
