Spring has finally arrived and Spring Break will be here sooner than later!
And with Spring comes the question, " What do I need to do to get Mr./Mrs. Teacher next year?" While the following explanation may not be the one you were hoping for, I thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation and understanding.
Teacher and administrative accountability for student achievement continues to drive the educational landscape. Because of such, the scheduling of students based upon academic abilities and social readiness is paramount for providing the greatest number of opportunities for success; for all involved stakeholders.
While we will continue to consider the feedback that we receive directly from families, please know that only your child's principal will be the staff member responsible for scheduling students and will be unable to honor any parental request for a specific teacher.
After much discussion and analysis of our district's strengths and non-strengths, we are confident that this format will work best for ALL learners and as always, I thank you again for your continued support and consideration.
Yours in scheduling,
Vincent J. Palmieri, Jr.
Superintendent of Schools
